I had my second ever screening mammogram a week or so ago and this time I got the letter! No phone call! No additional pictures! Nothing that looks concerning! Yay!!!
My oncologist Dr. Bridges moved to another hospital back east, so I have to see someone new. They made me an appointment with Dr. Chandran when I saw Dr. Bridges last. I have the handwritten reminder card from MSTI to prove it. Yet, at some point they changed me to see some other doctor I've never heard of.
I called to ask about it and they told me the doctor I am scheduled to see is just temporary. He's only here in Meridian for this month and then rotates around to different locations. They told me I was never scheduled with Dr. Chandran. That's obviously not true because I have the card where they wrote her name! So I kind of feel like they jacked me around and I don't like it. I do understand that at this point, my appointments aren't urgent like someone who is going through treatment, but I still don't like it. I'm debating if I just see this other guy or push the appointment back to see Dr. Chandran or some other doctor that I can actually start establishing a relationship with. Whoever I see gets to feel my boobs, so I kind of like to get to know them.
{Update} I called again and told them I needed to reschedule my appt on the 21st and was hoping to see Dr. Chandran if it wasn't too far out. Yeah, they had an opening for the 26th so everything is good to go!
